Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for daily journal entries, assist with the preparation of month end close journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reports, analysis of financial and statistical data.The accountant will be required to work on special projects as needed. Accountants will also work directly with the CFO for contract administration and advanced level administrative duties. The accountant will also be responsible for various Kronos reports and time recording.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs both key and non-key account reconciliations for all assigned general ledger accounts and records adjusting journal entries as identified.
- Reviews non-key general ledger account reconciliations
- Prepares, maintains control, and is responsible for subsidiary accounting records involving a variety of transactions and accounts.
- Prepares journal entries and posts to the general ledger.
- Prepares daily financial reports.
- Prepares work papers and schedules throughout year as required for interim and year-end financial reports.
- Generates and analyzes financial and accounting reports and records adjusting journal entries as identified.
- Responsible for multi-company journal entries
- Assists with all other projects and special assignments as requested.
- Responds to customer questions regarding financial inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Completes month-end responsibilities in a timely manner.
- Communicates on an ongoing basis the status of assigned projects.
- Participates in cross-training as required.

ACCOUNTING REPORTING (INTERMEDIATE):- Knowledge of the general financial accounting practices and principles. Able to analyze and interpret financial statements as well as develop reports and present them in a comprehensive and intelligent manner.
