Work Order Accountant
The role
The Work Order Accountant is a member of the Accounting Team and reports to the Accounting Supervisor. This position focuses on reviewing and tracking work orders through their life cycle, to ensure they are closed timely and accurately. A key component will be creating efficiencies and improving the work order process for all departments involved.
Key responsibilities
- Research and resolve issues related to work orders.
- Review and coordinate the work order process to include creating and running work order reports, monthly close of the work order module, analyzing and reconciliation processes and reviewing work order related invoices.
- Assist management with work order inquiries and research.
- Ensures all resources including time, materials, fleet usage, subcontractor cost and spreads are accounted for on each work order.
- Utilize iVUE to research inconsistencies in work orders and follow ups as needed.
- Assist in coordination, assigning and management of the work order process.
- Serve as a liaison between departments including but not limited to: Operations, Engineering, Warehouse, and Member Services.
- Confirm orders are correct and disposition incorrect orders before completing tasks or closing work order.
- Assist with work order related requests from auditors.
- Assist Accounting Team with special projects.

- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service

- Skilled in prioritizing and managing changing priorities
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers

Key experience
- 3-5 years' experience with iVue software
- Minimum 2 years' customer service experience
- Construction accounting experience preferred
