NPAG has grown significantly since its founding in 2002 with accelerated growth in the last two years. This growth and success present a need for an Accounting Manager to provide critical accounting and operational support to the organization.
This position will be a part of NPAG’s Core Support/Operations Team and report directly to the CFO. This role will be responsible for fulfilling end-to-end accounting operations for the organization including management of AR, AP, payroll, cash flow management, and the month-end financial close process. In addition to overseeing all accounting operations, this position will work closely with members of leadership to generate, track, and review standard contracts (both client and vendor).
The successful candidate will be highly detail-oriented, tech-savvy, experienced with accrual-based accounting and principles, enjoy executing on and managing end-to-end accounting operations for a 25+ person consulting firm, be able to prioritize and manage tasks in a dynamic environment, take pride in providing the highest quality of client and team support, and be an active member of an amazing team of people who are passionate about the work they do.
This is a full-time, W-2 position. Candidates must be able to work effectively from home/remotely. Candidates should be willing to provide support outside of one’s standard business hours from time-to-time. However, our organization values a strong work/life balance and allows for individuals to craft a work schedule that matches their needs within the guideline of being able to effectively support team, candidate, and client schedules and deliverables.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for executing on all accounting operations for the firm. Key areas of responsibility include:
- Accounts receivable management including invoice generation, participation in monthly invoice review process with team leads, and follow-up on past due client receivables.
- Accounts Payable management including obtaining W-9s from all vendors, processing of employee expense reimbursements, credit card receipt management, and preparation/input of all payables into financial systems for CFO review and approval.
- Cash Management including bank deposits and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Management and oversight of multi-state payroll including generation and submission of bi-weekly payroll into ADP Payroll RUN, booking of payroll journal entries, and management and response (as applicable) to payroll-related tax notices received.
- Monthly financial close of accrual-based books by the 15th of each month including close of AR, AP, and generation and booking of related journal entries including deferred revenue, prepaid and accrued expenses.
- Generate monthly financial reporting package and analysis in tandem with the CFO. Participate in monthly financial reviews with the CFO and Partners.
- Work with leadership and other team members as needed to generate, review, and track both client and vendor agreements.
- Management of weekly timesheet data and actual-to-budget reporting for team engagements.
- Develop and/or compile ad hoc reporting and data as requested by the CFO or other members of leadership.
- Work with CFO and tax accountants at year end to provide timely reporting for tax preparation and filing.
- Work with the CFO and other members of leadership to monitor revenue and expenses and communicate trends, opportunities for efficiencies, and bring timely awareness around any areas of concern.
- Active member of CORE team charged with identifying and implementing process efficiencies and policies – particularly as it pertains to the financial operations of the organization.

- Prior experience supporting financials for a professional services firm desired.
- Superior excel skills including knowledge and comfort working with pivot tables.
- Experience managing financials in QuickBooks Desktop.
- Five or more years of experience as an Accounting Manager or similar.
- Prior experience managing and submitting payroll in ADP Run or similar payroll systems.
- Fluency and savvy with other web-based technologies and apps such as Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Adobe and other project management software such as Monday.com, MS Project, or similar tools.
LOCATION: Remote/Work-from-Home
The salary for this position will be $90,000-$115,000/year, commensurate with experience. Benefits include an annual bonus eligibility, 401K plan with employer matching, and a generous health reimbursement plan (ICHRA).
