The Department of Accounting and Taxation in the Stillman School of Business seeks to hire a full-time Contract Faculty and Director of Graduate Accounting Programs to teach accounting courses, to advise undergraduate students, and oversee our graduate programs in accounting. This non-tenure track appointment commences with the 2022-23 academic year, beginning August 16, 2022.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach three course sections per semester;
• Advise undergraduate and graduate students in accounting and taxation;
• support the Department Chair in scheduling courses, reviewing assurance of learning outcomes, and recommending continuous improvements to the curricula;
• promote graduate coursework to undergraduate and other prospective students;
• assist the Graduate Admissions Director when recruiting prospective graduate students;
• attend regular meetings called by the Dean;
• fulfill service requirements typical of all full-time faculty in the Department.
Required Qualifications:
A graduate degree in accounting or a related field.
University teaching experience, either full or part-time, with a demonstrated commitment to excellence.
Work experience in the accounting profession.
Desired Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant or other nationally-recognized certification in the profession.
