The Department of Accounting and Taxation in the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University is seeking applicants for a 3/4-time position at the rank of Contract Faculty to start in the Fall of 2022. Applicants should hold a graduate degree in taxation or law from an accredited college or university and demonstrate successful experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in taxation. The ideal candidate will show potential for excellence in teaching in multiple formats (classroom, online, and hybrid), the ability to publish journal articles for accounting professionals, and a commitment to engage with the school and university community. A Juris Doctorate degree, CPA certification, practitioner journal publications, and professional experience are preferred but not required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The teaching load is three courses per semester, including introduction to federal taxation, corporate tax, individual tax, tax research, tax accounting, and tax policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
University teaching experience, either full or part-time, with a demonstrated commitment to excellence.
Significant experience in the accounting profession.
Desired Qualifications:
Certified Public Accountant or other nationally-recognized certification in the profession.
