Continental Properties is looking for a Part-Time Tax Accountant to join our team at our home office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. You will work with our Tax department to facilitate several activities.
You will play an important role in tax compliance for federal, state, and local tax. As our Tax Accountant you will lead and maintain responsibility for preparing monthly tax filings and other supporting workpapers related to the tax compliance for multiple entities. You will support and report directly to our Tax Manager.
We will provide you the opportunity to develop your technical knowledge in federal and state taxation in a dynamic real estate company.
We require some days in the office, but also embrace a hybrid working environment and you can work both in the office and remote. #LI-Hybrid
Essential Responsibilities:
- Prepare workpapers related to income tax returns prepared by outside accountants
- Prepare sales and use tax returns and personal property tax returns
- Analyze capital expenditures and help maintain the fixed assets ledgers
- Help pull together the tax information for new construction projects and acquisitions
- Help with investor projections and other ad hoc investor requests
- Collaborate with the tax team and other departments within the company to develop implement process improvements
Skills for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting highly preferred
- 1 or more years of tax related experience
- Following tight tax timetables, while coping with competing demands
