Prepares, records, analyzes and reports on the cost of producing the organization's products and services. Analyzes capital budget requests. Maintains ledgers and financial statements.
Essential Duties
Performs project set up, change order entry, and overall maintenance of a project. Maintains project files. Prepares and enters project related journal entries.
Prepares and submits monthly project billings to include both lump sum and cost plus projects. Prepares and submits all required reports for assigned projects – CIP reports, lien waivers, project audits, etc.
Accomplishes month-end closing tasks for assigned business unit.
Reconciles and prepares monthly sales report for assigned business unit. Conducts business unit account reconciliations – suspense, previously closed, incentive, etc.
Conducts gross margin analysis to ensure the financial integrity of projects.
1+ year of experience working with AIA billing required.
1+ year of experience handling billing within the construction/engineering industries preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
Proven work experience as a Cost Accountant or similar role preferred.
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
