Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the General Ledger Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of accounting duties in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and FERC. The General Ledger Accountant will prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger and reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare financial statements and various other accounting statements and reports, and assist the Accounting Manager with month and year end close.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prepare monthly general ledger entries
Support month end close process; making appropriate deferral, accrual, and, reclassifications
Electrical District Number Two, Pinal County, or ED2, as it is commonly known, was formed as a political subdivision of the State of Arizona in 1923.
ED2 is a full service electric utility serving the Greater Casa Grande Valley including in and around the cities of Coolidge, Florence, and Casa Grande, Arizona. ED2 provides its customers with electric service at competitive rates and remains constant to its statutory and primary mandate to preserve the economic viability of irrigated agricultural lands within Pinal County.
ED2’s main office is located southwest of Coolidge, Arizona on Eleven Mile Corner Road.
