Chief Financial Officer - ThriveMore
Deffet Group, Inc. is pleased to have been retained by Winston-Salem based ThriveMore to conduct an executive search for a Chief Financial Officer.
ThriveMore, (formerly known as Baptist Retirement Homes of North Carolina) is a faith-based, not-for-profit provider of senior housing, services and programs offered in multiple locations across the state. It is finalizing divestiture of its Asheville campus and now has two Life Plan Communities, a free-standing assisted living facility, and will formally take acquisition of a third Life Plan Community located in Western North Carolina in September 2023. It also offers Continuing Care at Home to Wake County. Current annual revenue is $35 million and additional growth plans, including a future GreenField project in Eastern NC, are underway.
ThriveMore is seeking a full-time Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide executive financial leadership to the organization. Reporting to the President and CEO, the CFO will serve as a key partner in optimizing ThriveMore’s financial soundness for its continued success and future growth. A team player with strengths in visioning and strategic planning, the CFO will have a proven track record in successful financial oversight of an organization using accepted accounting principles, financial management techniques and practices.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of five years’ senior level financial management experience, preferably in healthcare, financial accounting or healthcare consulting. Current or previous CFO experience preferred. They will have a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance and/or business administration from an accredited college or university. Certified Public Accountant designation highly desired and MBA helpful but not required. A proven history of banking experience, including successful development of investment banking relationships also desired, as is familiarity with MatrixCare/AOD.
