To help enable this transformation, we are seeking an experienced Principal Auditor or Senior Auditor to join our Internal Audit Services team that will be dedicated to the commodity trading and risk management areas of our business. To be a part of our integrated Internal Audit Services team encompassing technology, safety, and financial/operational specialists, we are looking for a candidate with demonstrated, exceptional verbal and written skills and risk acumen.
This position supports the Power Operations Group that engages in the wholesale trading of energy products. In this position, you will focus on delivering a risk-based audit plan that will involve all areas of the trading business activities, i.e., Front-Office (deal execution, scheduling), Middle-Office (transaction support, risk management) and Back-Office (Settlements).
You will report directly to the Internal Audit Services Director and work closely with the Internal Audit Services team and external subject-matter experts to develop, plan, and execute risk-based audits and consults to assess design and operational effectiveness, compliance with laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. We are looking for someone with audit experience and experience in commodity trading and risk management. Experience in energy trading and risk management desired, but not required.
PGE supports career progression, and this role will be filled at the level commensurate with the successful candidate’s applicable skills and experience at either the Principal Auditor or Senior Auditor level.
Key Scope and Areas of Impact:
· Leads and performs the planning and fieldwork for audit and consultation engagements, gathering and analyzing information and data, performing complex research,?efficiently and effectively documenting work in support of reporting, and coordinating and reviewing the work of others.?
· Writes clear, concise, and progressive basic to complex audit and consultation reports making risk reduction and process improvement recommendations.
· Evaluates Power Operations trading and portfolio management activities to assess compliance with PGE’s trading risk policies and limits including, for example, assessment of the effectiveness of risk management controls, such as deal capture, confirmations, and risk reporting.
· Gathers and analyzes information, utilizing key client contacts for assessing enterprise risks, in support of the development of the annual audit plan and ongoing reporting to senior company leadership and the Audit and Risk Committee.
· Designs effective and efficient control test plans and performs control testing. ?
· Proactively engages with management on tracking and completing remediations and other solutions to resolve previously identified risks and process improvements.
· Performs a variety of individual and department administrative tasks and partners with teammates in the implementation and continuous improvement of department initiatives.
PGE supports hybrid flexible arrangements and will have a combination of working in-the-office and offsite. In addition, as of the time of this job posting, this role has the option to be remote in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, DC, ID, FL, GA, LA, MI, MO, MT, NC, NJ, NY, TX, WI.
Compensation Range:
$85,500.00 - $169,875.00

What You Will Bring to This Role:
· A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, economics, computer science, liberal arts or other related field or equivalent experience.
· Eight or more years (Principal Auditor) or five or more years (Senior Auditor) in internal auditing, public accounting, trading, risk management, or related functions.
· Professional licenses/certifications preferred and may be required within one year of obtaining position (CPA, CIA, CRMA, CFE, CFA).
· Experience leading and performing audit engagements (planning, fieldwork, reporting) along with a strong understanding and application of audit project management skills.
· Experience in energy trading and risk management is desired, but not required.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
