Goodman Masson are exclusively supporting a well-known national non-profit organisation on their search for a Financial Accountant.

What is the role?

Reporting into the Head of Finance, your main responsibilities would be:

• Producing month-end management accounts and reconciling the balance sheet
• Assisting with statutory accounts in line with charity reporting guidelines
• Ensuring precise reconciliation and accuracy of both sales and purchase ledger
• Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns; Managing payroll data, payments, and monthly submissions to HMRC
• Assisting the Finance team with various ad-hoc tasks and overseeing direct reports as needed

This role is offering a salary of up to ??55,000, with a hybrid working set up

What do you need to succeed?

• A full, or part completed accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Proven experience working closely with month-end and year-end closure
• Experience within a charity finance function and knowledge of charity SORP would be beneficial
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with other accounting systems
