Summary of Position: | Teach a spectrum of undergraduate accounting courses both in traditional face-to-face classroom settings and fully online. The individual in this position will possess multiple areas of expertise/interest including financial accounting, managerial accounting, forensic accounting, auditing, accounting theory, and advanced accounting concepts. The anticipated start date of this position will be August of 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. | |

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: | PhD or DBA in accountancy or related field preferred. Evidence of prior teaching effectiveness preferred (course evaluations, student opinion surveys, etc.) | |
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | Teach a spectrum of undergraduate accounting courses both in traditional face-to-face classroom settings and fully online. The individual in this position will possess multiple areas of expertise/interest including financial accounting, managerial accounting, forensic accounting, auditing, accounting theory, and advanced accounting concepts. Faculty members are expected to engage in scholarly/professional development in support of their teaching in this learner-centered environment. They are expected to perform service in support of the students, the program, and the institution. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include advising students, orientation and registration of students, participation in university committees, keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty members may be required to teach off-campus or in an on-line environment. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. | |
