Goodman Masson have partnered with an ambitious Financial Services Consultancy based in London to assist with their search for a Qualified/Qualified by experience Management Accountant for an initial 3 month contract, with a view to be extended or made permanent.

The role offers hybrid/remote working and is a great opportunity for management accountant to gain commercial and business risks management exposure, helping to support business decisions and strategy going forward.

Responsibilities

• Managing working capital especially cash outflow including suppliers' payments, expenses, costs, and suppliers
• Payroll (co-ordination of changes with our people team and reconciliation of any changes sent to our payroll provider). Reconciliations and analysis.
• Supporting the budget process regarding revenue, headcount and opex requests, importing the agreed budget into the accounting system, and managing the monthly budget confirmations with the budget owners
• Monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and audit management, quarterly and annual FCA reporting, and quarterly and annual HMRC returns
• Business partnering with various business units, preparation of variance analysis and commentaries
• Overseeing outsourced external bookkeepers/accountants and payroll providers
• Ensuring month end accounts are accurate
• Documenting all finance processes and working on process improvements
• Training, development, and support of other member of finance

Skills & Experience

• Qualified Accountant / QBE [ACCA/CIMA/ACA]
• Good Excel skills [Power Pivot exp is desirable]
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS and FRS102) - desirable
• Extensive management accounts exp
