This position is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of restricted funds while ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations.
This is a Support Staff union position as stated in the Support staff collective bargaining agreement- Grade 12Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, posting and reconciling of accounting records, timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and/or annual financial reports, miscellaneous billings/deposits, account allocations, account reconciliations, and unclaimed property filings.
OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY: The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.
Bachelor's degree in related field required; degree in Accounting preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience Required: One (1) to two (2) years of Accounting experience.
Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements:
Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Adobe Pro
Ability to communicate with internal colleagues and external agencies
Must be detail-oriented and have strong financial analytical skills.
Time and task management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, take initiative, and meet deadlines.
