Provide management in finance and accounting in order to ensure finances are managed according to policies and procedures and GAAP.
Oversee and review general accounting functions
Assist in maintaining chart of accounts which includes new general ledger account creation and the review and approval of others’ submissions.
Coordinate month-end close process.
Review and monitor bank reconciliations, procedures, and cash position.
Assist in the timely execution of the annual audit of the school.
Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
PA/Booster Accounting; providing periodic financial reporting, transaction coding review, initiating internal cash transfers at Regions, and seasonal revenue reconciliation.
Assist in the review of journals for cash receipts, accounts receivable, and general accounting.
Maintain Endowment investment information
Record all investment activity, including transfers, gains, losses and fees.
Responsible for account number creation for new development fund mapping.
Responsible for the production of periodic endowment related reports from Fundriver.
Complete annual investment rollforward as part of the annual audit.
Review and approve Fixed asset import activity
Review and approval of Fixed Asset/CAPEX related transactions (i.e. transition from CIP to asset on the general ledger).
Compile Fixed Asset rollforward schedules and reconciliations.
Prepare detailed fixed asset reports, reconciled to general ledger
Day to day management of the Property Control Module that includes: entry of new assets and assigning useful life; processing monthly depreciation; corrections to the module during the reconciliation to the general ledger; and removal of disposed assets.
Coordination of periodic touch base with Director of Facilities.
Development Related Responsibilities
Review and approval of Development related transactions/journal entries.
General ledger account creation for new endowment/development related funds and mapping in the Development (Accounting) Module for associated pledges/revenue.
Initiate internal cash transfers in Bank for development related transactions.
Research Development module related issues including posting errors, mapping, etc.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Minimum of five years of relevant experience in nonprofit environment, with similar complexity, demonstrated financial administrative leadership.
At least 5 years of accomplishment at supervisory level in a relevant organization with experience in a variety of functions which could include fixed asset management, bank reconciliations, accounts receivable, investment/endowment accounting, and general accounting functions.
In-depth knowledge of finance and accounting systems.
In-depth knowledge of business accounting policies, procedures, practices, and software programs.
Background and ability to work and communicate with multiple constituencies such as faculty, staff, and parents.
