Description of Work:
The Tax Credit Alliance of Nebraska program coordinator will recruit, manage, train, and coordinate the work of TCAN's volunteer tax preparers; work closely with area partner sites/organizations to ensure high-quality service to tax clients and response to the partners' needs; review and transmit tax returns according to IRS and state requirements; follow-up with tax clients on any transmission issues; and represent VITA/Tax Credit Alliance of Nebraska to the public to coordinate, explain, and discuss programs and services in Nebraska.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in accounting and 2 years' experience in tax preparation. Excellent organization and time management skills. Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timeliness utilizing effective analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including management, program partners, volunteers, student workers, and tax clients. Must have a valid driver's license and meet University driver eligibility requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting. Certified Public Accountant. 3 years' experience in tax preparation
Posted Salary: $45,000 yr/minimum (Salary open for negotiation)
