Corporate Controller Job Responsibilities: 

Primary responsibility for all accounting related functions across different divisions known as The Park Companies, including the following:

• Unicorp, LLC – Construction company
• Real Estate Development companies
• Asset Management companies
• Other various companies

Corporate Controller Job Duties: 

• Manage and monitor all accounting ledgers and reporting systems
• Account transaction processing, including receivables and payables
• HR management and oversight, including payroll entry from third party payroll service provider
• Benefits management, including self-insurance reserve and 401(k)
• Monthly financial preparation
• Cash management
• Preparing reports and projections
• Improves financial decisions by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
• Oversee and ensure adherence to financial controls and other company policies and procedures
• Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
• Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications, coordinating information requirements
• Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Assist with establishing annual budgets
• Work with external CPAs to assist in preparation of annual audits and tax returns

Corporate Controller Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 5+ years proven accounting experience
• CPA highly preferred
• Construction accounting experience required; Viewpoint / Spectrum software experience considered a plus
• Quickbooks experience
• Proficient in MS Excel
