Corporate Controller Job Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility for all accounting related functions across different divisions known as The Park Companies, including the following:
1)Unicorp, LLC – Construction company
2)Real Estate Development companies
3)Asset Management companies
4)Other various companies
Corporate Controller Job Duties:
•Manage and monitor all accounting ledgers and reporting systems
•Account transaction processing, including receivables and payables
•HR management and oversight, including payroll entry from third party payroll service provider
•Benefits management, including self-insurance reserve and 401(k)
•Monthly financial preparation
•Cash management
•Preparing reports and projections
•Improves financial decisions by analyzing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
•Oversee and ensure adherence to financial controls and other company policies and procedures
•Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data
•Increases productivity by developing automated accounting applications, coordinating information requirements
•Protects operations by keeping financial information conf...idential
•Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
•Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
•Assist with establishing annual budgets
•Work with external CPAs to assist in preparation of annual audits and tax returns
Corporate Controller Skills and Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting
•5+ years proven accounting experience
•CPA highly preferred
•Construction accounting experience required; Viewpoint / Spectrum software experience considered a plus
•Quickbooks experience
•Proficient in MS Excel
