Job Summary: The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing the day-to-day accounting required to maintain the organization’s general ledgers. Working under the direction of the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant is responsible for recording the monthly closing of accounting records, financial reporting and assistance with annual audit and tax workpaper preparation. Essential Responsibilities: Updates, improves workpapers and supporting schedules for various entities and completes month-end closing entries. Completes quarterly updates of fixed asset and depreciation schedules. Prepares quarterly financial statements for various entities. Prepares quarterly loan covenants to external lenders.
