WittKieffer is proud to partner with The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in the search for the next Vice President, Finance (VP Finance). This is a terrific opportunity for an experienced financial executive to contribute broadly to a very successful and growing children's academic health system and its affiliates in the greater Philadelphia area.
CHOP, one of the top children's hospitals in the world and a four-billion-dollar pediatric healthcare enterprise, seeks a dynamic, distinguished executive to serve as its next VP Finance. CHOP, as an enterprise, has set a bold direction to impact and improve the lives of children in the community and around the world, and this executive plays a crucial role in shaping CHOP's financial strategy and operations in order to do this. The VP Finance will play a key role in fostering a high-performing financial infrastructure while championing collaboration, innovation, and operational efficiency.
The VP Finance will have highly developed interpersonal qualities and skills, as well as a strategic mindset and strong leadership skills to enhance financial functions and support CHOP's mission. The VP Finance will serve as a trusted strategic partner to the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the executive team, leading the organization's core financial operations with a forward-looking approach. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of deep technical expertise, strategic vision, and strong leadership capabilities to build and lead high-performing teams.
The VP Finance will drive through their leadership alignment to CHOP's culture and people strategy, mentoring the next generation of financial leaders in the organization. We seek candidates who will embrace the mission of academic medicine and CHOP, while helping to position the finance team to meet the needs of this growing organization.
Experience leading finance teams in a complex healthcare environment is required. Preferably candidates will have a strong foundation of public accounting experience and fully embrace finance and accounting best practices. They must also demonstrate a personal style that facilitates communication, collaboration, and strong negotiation skills. We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.
