The purpose of this class is to oversee all aspects of the accounting administration, audit, and 990 for the Community College of Baltimore College Foundation.
Bachelor's degree in accounting required; CPA or Master's degree preferred. A minimum of four years of current professional experience required. Experience as an Accountant in a non-profit institution preferred. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles including the standards of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB 116 and 117), accounting and reporting for a non-profit institutions. Proficient computer skills and experience with all Microsoft software. Knowledge and superior skills with Excel to create spreadsheets for analysis and general word processing skills for Board of Director meetings/presentations. Automated accounting system experience required; preferably in a non-profit institution. Experience with SCT Banner Student Information System and Raiser's Edge/Financial Edge are preferred.
Providing timely and accurate financial information and advice to management and staff in CCBC Foundation.
The development of timely and accurate reporting of financial statements and supporting schedules in compliance with federal, state and industry accounting standards. This includes the revision and/or design of financial reports utilizing mainframe and microcomputer-based report generation software.
Responsible for monthly reports and analyses provided to the Board and investment committee.
Responsible for coordinating the annual audit and 990 for the Foundation.
Responsible for coordinating, preparing, and reviewing the annual budgets for the Foundation.
