Las Colinas Association is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee our financial activities, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide strategic financial leadership. The ideal candidate will be a licensed CPA with experience in nonprofit or association accounting and a background in leading small teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP and other applicable regulations.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and improve financial processes.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development and efficiency.
Manage audits, tax filings, and federal and state regulatory reporting requirements.
Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and support organizational decision-making.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (required).
Experience in nonprofit or association accounting (preferred).
Prior experience leading or managing a small team (preferred).
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems.
