Job Summary
Lead financial analysis and modeling initiatives to support strategic decision-making, investment evaluation, and business planning processes. Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will inform decision-making for enterprise, business segment, service line and market leaders.
Collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis, Enterprise Data Analytics, Enterprise and Market Finance, and end-users to create new data-driven approaches for the purpose of generating business insights through data analytics, information visualization, and addressing unanswered business issues in a proactive manner. Ensure that the Enterprise leaders, business segments, service lines, market leaders and other end-users have modern and effective methodologies, approaches and tools in place for costing of services and business activities [cost accounting], internal and external benchmarking, initiative tracking, and related decision support needs.
Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of decision support systems in improving decision-making processes and recommend improvements to maintain a modern and effective financial support system for decision-making.
Support operational leaders in the development of strategic plans and initiatives by providing appropriate data-driven insights and analysis. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for financial and reporting data.
Lead Finance team support on the development, implementation and maintenance of the Enterprise approach for:
cost accounting tools, methodologies and use cases, financial benchmarking tools, methodologies and use cases, and initiative tracking. Manage financial and reporting data platforms, including data integrations from various sources and tools. Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of financial data technologies.
Assist in the collection, storage, and maintenance of financial and reporting data. Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of financial and reporting data through rigorous quality control measures.
Foster collaboration between finance, Financial Planning and Analysis, Enterprise Data and Analytics, and other departments to align data initiatives with business objectives. Act as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in accounting, finance, business, healthcare administration, or related field; master's degree preferred.
Minimum of five years' experience in financial analysis or related accounting fields; experience with cost accounting systems required. Healthcare experience preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or other professional certification is preferred, but not required.
