Responsibilities include the following:
Research and keep current with the tax law and reporting responsibilities.
Develop 'best practices', including policies and tool kits in managing resulting tax risks.
Communicate with stakeholders, including schools, colleges and units as well as with legal and tax representatives, e.g., with investment firms, taxing agencies, and institutional peers.
Prepare and review various federal, state and international tax returns and forms for multiple entities, including exempt organizations, partnerships, taxable corporations, charitable vehicles, such as charitable remainder trusts, as well as multiple activities and transactions, including investments in foreign entities, among others.
The candidate must possess the following:
Bachelors degree in business administration, finance or accounting, or an equivalent combination of education is required. A CPA certification or a masters degree in accounting or a related field is desired. Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with a variety of individuals and units. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff. Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet pressing due dates. Excellent analytical and independent problem solving skills.
