The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting budgeting and forecasting efforts. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payment to employees and compliance with applicable tax and labor laws.
Assist with client contract tracking and billing processes, ensuring alignment with financial terms and revenue recognition standards.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Manage compliance with tax filings, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends or discrepancies.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. QuickBooks experience is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Thrives on ability to work autonomously, learn quickly, and solve problems.
Willingness to take on additional projects and multi-task with changing priorities, as necessary.
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines with emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
