The Investment Operations Analyst provides analytical and operational assistance in managing the long-term investment portfolio across all asset classes: Public Equity, Fixed Income, Absolute Return, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Real Assets and Private Credit. The analyst and operations team will work in partnership with the investment team to develop accounting and financial processes, procedures, protocols and controls to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the investment function. This includes participating in operational due diligence and managing the on-boarding and monitoring of investments. The analyst and operations team will also be in charge of gathering, organizing, and presenting data on investment performance and risk attributes with the goal of improving investment evaluation and selection. Primary duties and responsibilities include:
- Prepares asset-class specific and portfolio-wide performance analytics and risk reporting.
- Performs portfolio liquidity analysis and cashflow forecasting for public and private portfolios.
- Assists with operational due diligence, and with the preparation of legal documents such as subscription and redemption documents.
- Ensures proper onboarding of new investments on custodian and other monitoring systems.
- Maintains oversight of daily operational processes including coordinating investment related transactions including new subscriptions, redemptions, and all capital call and distribution activities.
- Reconciles cash, investment transactions and market values with custodian system.
- Prepares monthly performance estimates.
- Assists in the audit processes, work with relevant departments and outside auditors as necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Economics or a related major required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services or investment operations preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
