Leads and manages the accounting operations of the Athletic department of KSU and KSU Association. Serves as a representative between the athletic program, the University, Board of Regent's and its constituents. Responsible for the daily operations of financial accounting area in the Athletic Business Office. Establishes accounting guidelines and procedures necessary to comply with NCAA guidelines, University policies and state regulation.
1. Serves as primary financial administrator for athletics 2. Manages daily accounting operations including but not limited to, deposits for tickets sales, donations and sponsorships, expense reports, procurement/credit cards, purchase orders, payment of invoices and reconciliation of payroll 3. Prepares and monitors annual budget and provides updated projections 4. Maintains data in association and university financial system(s) 5. Prepares 990 for Athletic Association and annual reports for NCAA, EADA, Atlantic Sun and Big South 6. Prepares Board of Regents five (5) year business plan and annual reporting 7. Strategizes ways to generate revenue and minimize spending 8. Advises management regarding sources of funding 9. Develops, reviews and modifies policies, procedures and controls to ensure responsible use of resources

Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Accounting or Finance
Required Experience Seven (7) years related work experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field Certified Public Accountant Experience in intercollegiate administration or professional sports administration Previous nonprofit experience Strong accounting background and experience with system conversion is desirable
