Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Supervising Accountant (Gift & Fund Balance) in Finance at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
Under direction of the Associate Director, Finance the Supervising Accountant (Gifts & Fund Balance) is responsible for the business management of all gift accounting schedules. This includes maintaining overall gift and fund balances, P&L schedules, monthly costs and receivables schedules and revenue distributions. This position will actively liaise with the RU Foundation to address data reporting, budget development, and gift distribution.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Creates effective work plans and works closely with staff by managing and addressing their training needs to achieve competency of work performance and understanding clinical trials contract rules and regulations.
Develops and maintains all gift accounting schedules including but not limited to overall gift and fund balances, P&L schedules, monthly costs and receivables schedules and revenue distributions.
Prepares monthly statements of gift funds, fund balance revenue and expenditures for Finance Directs.
Attends meetings with RU Foundation to discuss budget development, gift distribution, and other issues as they arise.
Reviews gift contracts and ensures that all costs applied to funding are allocable and allowable.
