Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide entry level accounting services including operational bank reconciliations, operating tax preparation and financial statement research.
- Monthly preparation of overall cash reconciliation and operational bank account reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly sales tax reports and accompanying payment.
- Analyze department sales for unrelated business income tax purposes and prepare annual supporting documentation for reporting UBI.
- Research financial statement fluctuations and provide explanations of variances.
- Conduct daily audit of transactional activity and provide departmental support for corrections or explanations.
- Provide support to Assistant Director and department in financial statement completion and other duties.
Minimum Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, earned within the last 5 years. If later, demonstrated steps to keep current, updated knowledge of GAAP and current trends in accounting.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Fluent in Excel and Word with explanation of level of knowledge.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to complete tasks under demanding time schedules.
Hourly Rate: $15.83 (Additional pay dependent upon qualifications)
