Job Description Summary
Supporting the EMEA Financial Controller in the successful delivery of legal entity Controllership, ensuring compliance with local policy.
This role involves partnering with both internal and external stakeholders, including outsourced service providers and consultants. The role requires a driven individual to deliver on the regular reporting requirements for local GAAP compliance, highly motivated and engaged to deliver timely and accurate financial information.
The successful candidate will be primarily tasked with supporting the statutory audit processes for EMEA entities and the preparation and review of the statutory financial statements for these EMEA entities.
Job Description
Core responsibilities:
·        Manage the statutory audit processes, including co-ordination between the auditors, outsourced providers in India (FSC), the business and retained finance across the clusters as the key C&W contact for external Auditor
·        Improve process to minimise the cost of SFS production, review and audit including optimisation of system functionality and automation and ensuring the best use of the FSC.
·        Pro-actively manage external Auditor, ensuring that all PBC deliverables are delivered on time.Â
·        Manage responses audit queries and findings.
·        Support CIT (Corporation Tax) computation process that is owned by the in-house Tax department.
·        Support legal entity rationalisation projects, providing technical accounting guidance as required.
·        Provide intercompany balance confirmations to support local overseas audit requirements.
·        Create efficiencies through continuous improvement of processes.
·        Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as they arise
Qualifications, Skills, knowledge & experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional working environment, with an interest in commercial real estate:
- A qualified ACA / ACCA accountant.
- Minimum two â“ five yearsâ™ PQE in industry.
- Excellent communication in English and Dutch or German
- Strong technical accounting skills. IFRS (FRS101) Essential, US GaaP Desirable
- Proven project management skills to facilitate coordination of key stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and an organised, logical approach is essential.
- Excellent communicator, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks, a â˜key thinkerâ™ who manages deadlines.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to complex accounting entries.
- Adaptable and energetic, with ability to work as part of a team, as well as under their own initiative.
- Workday (ERP) and Hyperion (HDM) experience is desirable.
- Experience working in a large, global company is desirable.
- Experience working in an outsourced Finance environment would be an advantage.
