Job Summary
Build and manage Geisinger's mid and back-office functions for the Investment team's activities. This will include building a world-class operating and compliance structure that emphasizes cash and valuation controls. Leads the team's annual audit and tax process. This includes ensuring that all activities are properly reflected in the general ledger and all documentation necessary to complete tax filings are prepared in a timely manner for submission to Geisinger's tax team. Responsible for implementation and review of internal controls for Geisinger's investment activities. Works closely with all external consultants, banks and financial vendors. Drives the team's vision for infrastructure to enhance the organization's risk management, due diligence process and investment evaluation. Closely integrated into the investment process to ensure all legal, compliance and accounting risks are taken into consideration.This role will be located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Job Duties
- Maintain Geisinger's internal and external operating relationships covering accounting, tax, custody, legal, treasury and audit.
- Develop and maintain control processes around cash movement, compliance, internal trading policies and ESG. Includes developing optimal account and investment structures
- Manage operational due diligence for new and existing investments. This includes managing checklist for all investment closings
- Develop and maintain infrastructure that will automate Geisinger's operating activities
