The Title V Grant Project Director is the primary administrator of the Department of Education's Title V Grant and is responsible for management of the project to meet performance measures and deliverables in accordance with federal regulations, program requirements, and MSMU policies and procedures.
Manage and evaluate all aspects of activity development and staff, and reporting per federal regulations.
Supervise Graduate Advisor, project activities and tutors.
Coordinate all aspects of the activity and all faculty development.
Communicate/report to the Project Advisory Group on all aspects of the Title V activity
Submit reports and APR data and documents to the University administration and Project Advisory Group
Administer project budget according to Education Department General Administrative Regulations and MSMU policies and procedures. This includes: predictive budget analysis, efficient resource allocations, and balancing all projects within scope of activities
Develop, implement, and manage internal, project processes to ensure compliance with relevant MSMU and grant-related rules and regulations. (i.e., eligibility, purchasing, equipment inventory, closing documents, and external contract vendors)
Work with all internal offices and external partners as necessary to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
Deliver and organize professional development activities for faculty and staff
Evaluate performance measures and deliverables on a quarterly and annual basis and ensure that adequate time and effort is spent on the results of the evaluations
Prepare and submit all reports required by the U.S. Department of Education by posted deadlines
Work with grant accountant to ensure financial compliance and budget monitoring.
Accurately track all grant purchased equipment
Maintain all grant records to the standard of being audit ready.
Report time and effort diligently
Hold monthly project team meetings
Work with external evaluator, share results with staff and supervisor, and respond to recommendations for improvement
Participate in evening and weekend special events and activities
Knowledge of state, federal, and/or state local funding guidelines

Bachelor's (or higher) degree
Master's (or higher) degree in a related field such as Program Evaluation, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, etc.
Three (3) years or more of related work experience in grant management/administration and budgeting/fiscal management
Experience in higher education especially regarding issues related to student persistence and completion, transfer and articulation, low-income, and first generation college populations
Previous management and budgetary oversight and reporting experience
Work Location: Both Chalon Campus (West Los Angeles) and Doheny Campus (Downtown Los Angeles)
